The big one is called Mandraflora and the little one is Bulbop.
What I think of is maybe add some punching or biting move too instead of just charging in full speed towards me. But most of them just charging towards the player's character to deal damage. Some of them that I met so far have different attack such as shooting poisonous thorn, diving maneuver (bird creatures), and spinning attack. Apparently most of them don't behave as cute as they look.Ībout the thing I think could be better earlier was about the combat, or more precisely the monster's attacking move. They're unique and looks so cute I feel sorry that I had to kill them, for food, and because they attack me on sight. So to find that Lagann mech body is my new mission in this game.Īside of the mech, I really like the monsters design in Starbound. But instead I got something different, which is kinda disappointing.įortunately the brass and black colour I give to it make it look more steampunk themed and pretty good to me, which is also what I want to get in this game, so that reduce my disappointment a bit. If you are playing on the "casual" difficulty, you can use the button to beam up to your ship anytime, except when you are in dungeons. Lastly, while you are onboard your ship, the same button will change to allow you to teleport back down to the surface at any time, without having to actually walk over to the teleporter. This means that, for example, in the following image, I am able to teleport:Įven though I'm underground, with ceilings and background everywhere, because I'm not too far down, and because I've punched out the one square of background where my head is, teleporting is possible.
Note that the definition of "underground" is a bit crude. Going underground will make it vanish, like this: Note that it will only be available while on the surface of the planet, outdoors. In the top-right of your screen, there is a button to teleport back to the ship.
